Molino Bongermino is a handicraft company specialised in the milling of different cereals. It was born in 2012 in Laterza (Puglia, Italy) and has focused its production on high quality remilled semolina and has subsequently expanded its range through research, the development of new products, the careful selection of the finest local wheat, the control of the production process and rigorous daily laboratory analyses. Today the company has a fully automated, state-of-the-art milling plant and boasts a qualified and highly professional management team. To ensure the quality of its products, Molino Bongermino has focused on traceability of the whole production chain, on environmental sustainability and on food safety.
Our history
2012
Molino Bongermino was born from the passion of the
agronomist, Pasquale Carbone, and his wife Maria Bongermino, biologist and
daughter of a longstanding baker from Laterza. The company is active in an area known for baking that includes Laterza, Altamura and Matera, which have the PGI and POD designations.

2014
Molino Bongermino obtains important international certifications: ISO 22005: 2007 Certification – Food chain traceability for the phases of purchase of raw material, storage, processing, packaging and selling.
2016
Molino Bongermino obtains the Organic Certification: a further certainty that the entire supply chain complies with the principles of Organic Agriculture, such as the respect for seasonal cycles, a careful cultivation of the soil without pesticides, herbicides and synthetic products in general.
2019
The Filiera Punto Zero project is launched, a short supply chain of exclusively Italian wheat. The project aims to ensure the highest quality and transparency of the whole supply chain: from farm to fork.
2020
Molino Bongermino boasts a wide and varied range of products and is a structured and efficient company, that aims to forge new business partnerships with italian and foreign parterns.
2021
Filiera Punto Zero acquires a new blockchain traceability platform (more transparency) – new retail line is entirely redesigned with a fully recyclable paper packaging (eco-sustainability).
